A training program that builds strength and conditioning through extremely varied and challenging workouts. Each day the workout will test a different part of your functional strength or conditioning, not specializing in one particular thing, but rather with the goal of building a body that’s capable of practically anything and everything. At CrossFit South Bend we take your training very seriously. Whether you are a complete beginner to CrossFit or a competitive athlete, we have a place for you within our gym walls. Our general CrossFit programming has a main emphasis on longevity and health first, then performance. It is inherently an intermediate program with scaling options that make it suitable for a beginner to thrive or to bridge the gap to becoming an advanced CrossFit athlete to get into our Competitive CrossFit program.
Our Fundamentals courses is designed to fit YOUR schedule and give you the personal attention you need. You tell us when you want to schedule your Fundamentals, and we make it happen. This course is required for anyone new to CrossFit. This course consists of 3 One Hour Personal Training Sessions – In each, you will learn about the foundational movements of CrossFit. Our absolute highest priority is making sure you learn and execute all movements safely and efficiently. You can be confident that we will not push you to the next exercise until we make sure you are ready. You’ll never need to worry about the risk of serious injury because we will teach you every proper movement and lift before we increase intensity or add weight.
Our USAW registered Barbell Club is an Olympic Weightlifting class, meaning that the lifts that will be trained are the Snatch and Clean & Jerk. Our goal for this class will be to provide a better learning environment with longer (90 minute) classes designed specifically for the sport of weightlifting. If your goal is to become more explosive or to improve your weightlifting for CrossFit, or compete in the sport of weightlifting, this is the class for you.
This class is designed to get you strongest you’ve ever been. We do this through establishing a base level of strength in our 5 foundational lifts; Back Squat, Press, Deadlift, Bench Press, and Power Clean. This class is intended for individuals who have goals of increasing their overall strength and power, and like heavier, shorter workouts.
This is a strength and conditioning program designed to build bigger, stronger, more explosive athletes with more horsepower. The demands of athletes are universal. If you can run, jump, sprint, change direction, and are strong and powerful, then you will be successful. These are the goals that we are working towards. We will get there by lifting heavy, conditioning (metabolic, sprint, jumping), and working with the mentality of “Train Fast Be Fast.” Another key principle is building strong posture and position through the use of external forces, external resistance, and external elements to challenge posture and position. Why is posture and position important? Your ability as an athlete to sprint, jump, change direction and tackle is all dependent on whether or not you can maintain good posture and position through full ranges of motion.
Our focus is on building a great foundation for your child/children that they can use throughout their growing stages of life. During our time together we will develop and nurture team building, emotional and physical skills that your child/children use inside and outside the gym. We will start each class learning and reviewing the basic movements used in CrossFit with an interactive game that will allow a transition into teaching proper body mechanics and ending the hour with a fun and competitive game or a new skill.

If you’re struggling with certain health issues or even if you feel “perfectly healthy,” nutritional guidance is critical to your success in fitness and health.
